Inspired by the meteoric rise of the Ilian Tape label, Helioscope introduced a new format around its signature sound. It is a mixture of the dub techno genre, relentless atmospheric breakbeats and sweeping pads. Since April 2016, the mostly shorter sets include works by Maceo Plex, Answer Code Request, Rising Sun, Barker and Baumecker, Moderat, Bwana and Dark Sky.
